Een schemagerichte protocollaire behandeling bij een man met een afhankelijke persoonlijkheidsstoornis en recidiverende depressies
Samenvatting
In deze casusbeschrijving staat de behandeling centraal van een 46-jarige man met recidiverende depressies en een afhankelijke persoonlijkheidsstoornis. Als behandelmodel is voor schemagerichte therapie gekozen volgens het protocol van Van Vreeswijk & Broersen (2006). Drie schema's zijn het behandelfocus geworden (Emotionele deprivatie, Onderwerping en Zelfopoffering). Deze behandeling heeft als eindresultaat dat patiënt minder depressieve klachten ervaart en hij beter in staat is om met zijn schema's om te gaan. Daarnaast reageert hij vaker vanuit de ‘Gezonde volwassene' en het ‘Blije kind'. Een discussiepunt is dat er binnen het protocol nauwelijks aandacht wordt besteed aan experiëntiële technieken. Voor de behandeling van het schema Emotionele deprivatie is dit mogelijk een gemis geweest.
Summary
This article discusses the case of a 46-year-old man diagnozed with recurrent depressive disorder and a dependent personality disorder. Treatment consisted of a schema therapy protocol developed by Van Vreeswijk & Broersen (2006). The focus of the treatment was on three schemas: Emotional Deprivation, Subjugation and Self-sacrifice. After the treatment, the patient experienced reduced depressive symptoms and was more able to cope with his schemas, responding more from his ‘Healthy adult' and ‘Happy child' mode. The protocol did not include many experiential techniques. This was probably lacking in the treatment of the schema Emotional Deprivation.
